Collaborations

PureVision is developing collaborations and strategic alliances with companies in many different industries including engineering companies, enzyme development companies, equipment manufacturers, feedstock suppliers, universities, professional service companies and government laboratories. PureVision has assembled an experienced development team to conduct small-scale feedstock testing programs, initiate pilot plant operations and complete research, design and engineering tasks for commercial-scale cellulosic biorefineries. These alliances include, but are not limited to:

Province of Alberta, Canada Agriculture and Food (AF) Bio-industrial Technology Division. AF is recognized as a leader in conducting applied research applications in advanced industrial material ingredient development and biomass utilization technologies. AF has contracted PureVision to investigate the fractionation of triticale straw into resources at PureVision's laboratories in Colorado.

Auburn University, Center for Paper and Bioresource Engineering (Auburn)
Auburn is a nationally recognized pulp and paper research center. Auburn and PureVision have been investigating the conversion of cellulose from agricultural residues to make pulp and paper products. Currently Auburn and PureVision are working together to establish a national biomass fractionation research and development center at the Auburn Campus in Alabama.

The Harris Group.
Harris is a multi-discipline design-engineering firm with extensive process development experience. Harris Group’s business includes detail design, capital cost estimates, feasibility studies, process simulations, and pro forma support for multiple chemical and industrial customers. Harris is assisting PureVision in economic modeling, technology integration and scale-up.

Hazen Research, Inc. Hazen was organized in 1961 to provide scale-up and pre-commercialization development services to diverse industries. Hazen professional services include fuels characterization, laboratory and pilot plant testing, engineering and field services. PureVision has contracted Hazen to assist in bench- and pilot-scale design and testing. PureVision's fractionation laboratory is currently located on the Hazen campus in Golden, Colorado.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) NREL is the premier U.S. government renewable energy processing, research and development laboratory. NREL and PureVision have been investigating various aspects of converting biomass into renewable resources since 1996.

PPG Industries (PPG)
is a leading diversified manufacturer that supplies products and services around the world. The company makes protective and decorative coatings, sealants, adhesives, metal pretreatment products, flat glass, fabricated glass, continuous-strand fiberglass products, and industrial and specialty chemicals. With headquarters in Pittsburgh, PPG has 108 manufacturing facilities.

Weyerhaeuser Paper.
Weyerhaeuser is an international forest products company with annual sales of $22.6 billion. Weyerhaeuser is one of the world’s largest timberland owners, managing 38 million acres of forestlands in five countries and is one of the largest producers of softwood cellulose fibers, containerboard and corrugated packaging, in addition to lumber, engineered wood products and structural panels.
