Ed Lehrburger, founder, President and CEO, has led PureVision since 1998 transitioning the company from a research and development company to a commercial technology provider. Ed is a successful businessman with experience in business development, finance, project management and structuring strategic partnerships. Carl is a senior project manager with broad expertise in undertaking feasibility studies, economic modeling, feedstock assessment programs, and commercial project development. Dr. Dick Wingerson, founder, Chief Scientist and a former US Air Force scientist, developed the company's fractionation process. He currently oversees all technology research and development and the intellectual property programs for PureVision. (Dick@PureVisionTechnology.com)
Dr. Ronal Larson, Director, is a retired Professor (Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech), former Principal Scientist at SERI (now the National Renewable Energy Laboratory) and former Chair of the American Solar Energy Society. As a Director he provides valuable expertise, guidance and contacts for PureVision.
James R. Hettenhaus, Director, is co-founder of cea Inc. and an entrepreneur in the biomass conversion industry since 1995. Mr. Hettenhaus is a recognized expert in many areas of biorefining operations including feedstock supply and downstream biomass and chemical processing and adds business and industry expertise to the PureVision Board.
Staff
Lawrence W. Brown, Process Engineer, Lawrence has a diverse background in chemical engineering, biomass pilot plant operation, and analysis. He has become a valuable addition to our research efforts in analysis, assays and data processing as well as assistance with the advancement of the technology.Dr. Chim Y. Chin, Ph.D., Research Scientist. Dr. Chin brings experience in liquid separation techniques and setting up laboratory data analysis systems. Dr. Chin played a valuable role in the design of simulated moving bed chromatography systems at Purdue University and earned several awards for oral presentations and publications. Dr. Chin is a member of AIChE.
Dan Friedlander, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, joined PureVision to assist in financing and implementing business development initiatives. Dan’s business career includes being the founder or key executive in five successful start-up businesses including taking two companies public and selling three companies. Dan has become an expert on renewable energy business innovation and a leader of the Colorado CleanTech initiative.
Sue Hintze, Director of Human Resources and Office Manager. Sue manages many of the company’s internal operations and assists with payroll, bookkeeping and accounting tasks. Sue has a background in accounting and nineteen years of experience in operations and management in the airline industry.
Dr. Kiran Kadam, PhD, Director of Process Development. Dr. Kadam brings with him extensive experience in the development and scale-up of integrated bioprocesses, especially, biomass-to-ethanol technologies. From 1992-2004 he worked at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden, Colorado developing biomass-to-ethanol technologies with emphasis on enzyme production, enzymatic hydrolysis, and fermentation.
Paul Ludwig, Staff Engineer. Paul is providing his diverse engineering expertise and mechanical design experience in developing the prototype fractionation equipment for PureVision. Paul is the lead engineer at the new PureVision laboratory located in Ft. Lupton.
K.C. Pope, CPA, PureVision Controller. K.C. Pope. K.C. manages all the financial and billing aspects of the company’s R&D programs. A Colorado CPA for over 20 years specializing in accounting for small businesses, K.C. is involved with all financial operations of the company.
Dan Schaffer, Mechanical Technician. Dan brings 21 years of experience as a technician at the Rocky Flats plant in Golden, CO. Dan is the full-time operator and maintenance technician of the company’s process development unit and also assists with assaying components of biomass after fractionation.
This seasoned team of dedicated employees and entrepreneurs has established the momentum and credibility to play a significant role in the new age of biorefineries.
