VanGenderen Joins PureVision Business Advisory Board
October 14, 2009PureVision Technology, a biofuels technology development company based in Fort Lupton Colorado, announced today that Heidi VanGenderen has joined their Business Advisory Board. "Heidi VanGenderen is one of the top advocates and leaders of the clean energy economy, and we are thrilled that she has agreed to advise PureVision's executive team as we bring our technology to market," said Ed Lehrburger, President and CEO. "Heidi brings a wealth of experience, market awareness, and personal relationships to PureVision, and our entire team will benefit from her guidance. Her experience in energy, government policy, governance and finance will be invaluable as we commercialize our second-generation biofuels equipment." Heidi VanGenderen currently serves as a Senior Energy Advisor for the Worldwatch Institute in Washington D.C. She recently completed a Chevening Fellowship with the U.K. Foreign Office and British Council International Fellowship on "Finance and Investment in a Low-Carbon Economy," including work with F&C Investments in London in the Governance and Sustainable Investments group. VanGenderen served as Colorado's first gubernatorial climate advisor to Governor Bill Ritter, overseeing the creation of Colorado's first Climate Action Plan. For eight years she served as Senior Associate to the Wirth Chair in Environmental and Community Policy at the University of Colorado at Denver's Graduate School of Public Affairs. Heidi holds a Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science from Carleton College.
